You’re the hero.
AI is the sidekick.

The AI course where teens ship real projects — 27 lessons · about 13 hours, at their own pace.

Ages 11–17. Start the first mission the moment your kid joins, and each one they finish unlocks the next — in order, at their own pace, no schedule to keep. They build something real and work toward a parent-supervised project, with you watching every step from your own dashboard.

The eight parts

What your kid ships

Eight parts, each one a thing that didn’t exist before. Every part advances a single project from “just an idea” to something real and showable — at whatever pace your kid sets.

  1. PART 01

    Your first real asset

Learn to direct AI like a boss — and catch it when it’s confidently wrong. Out comes a first usable asset they actually made, not just a chat.

    First real asset

Example project — built with the same tools

  2. PART 02

    A venture lane

Pick a lane (digital products, art, a service, a creator kit) and build a real brand kit — name, mark, colors, type — in Design Pack Studio.

    Brand kit

Example project — built with the same tools

  3. PART 03

    A validated, priced offer

Research the customer and the market with AI — then fact-check it. Out comes an offer line and a price they can defend.

    Research brief + price

Example project — built with the same tools

  4. PART 04

    The first ask

The honest hustle. Every ask can happen over text, through you. Door-knocking is never required.

    Outreach + offer note

Example project — built with the same tools

  5. PART 05Goes live

    A live storefront

A real page goes live under the venture’s name (never your kid’s) with orders routed to you.

    Live storefront

Example project — built with the same tools

  6. PART 06

    A real delivery

Deliver to a real customer — or a graded Mystery Client, the no-outreach path, kept private.

    Delivered order

Example project — built with the same tools

  7. PART 07

    Run the numbers

Build a reusable AI tool that checks whether a sale actually clears, run the real numbers, and add a tiered offer and a referral ask.

    Pricing tool + numbers

Example project — built with the same tools

  8. PART 08Finale

    The Showcase

Present what they built and finish as a Founder — with receipts, not “nothing.”

    Showcase deck

Example project — built with the same tools

The honest version

Yes, there’s a real shot at a first sale

The project your kid builds isn’t a worksheet. By Part 5 it can go live as a real page, and they learn to price it, post it, and ask a few real people if they want it. Some kids make their first sale. That moment — turning something you made into something someone actually wanted — is the whole point.

We’re straight with you about how it works: the first customer is almost always family or a neighbor, and that’s on purpose. A warm first “yes” is a rejection-safe rep, not a pity purchase — we teach scripts that ask plainly and never read as begging. Every ask can happen over text, through you. Plenty of kids finish the summer with skills and a portfolio and no sale at all, and that’s a real, complete outcome too.

No surprises

Your part as the parent

You should know exactly what this asks of you before you pay. Here it is, in full.

Once, up front

About 45 minutes of setup

You create the accounts the money runs through — that’s the safety feature, not an inconvenience. We walk you through each one.

As they go

A few one-tap co-signs

Mostly one-tap co-signs straight from the recap emails as your kid hits milestones. You approve each step; a slow stretch from you never stalls a fast stretch from your kid.

The outreach lessons

A little real presence helps

These are the “first ask” lessons. Being around to talk it through (and to be the first customer) makes a real difference.

Zero driving, zero scheduling. No carpool, no drop-off, no set class times — it runs from home on your kid’s clock (27 lessons, about 13 hours total, at whatever pace fits). What it does ask of you is the setup and the co-signs above. That’s the honest trade.

Built for the worried parent

The safety stack

This is the part we built first. If the safety story doesn’t hold up, nothing else matters.

Money flows only through your accounts

We never process, hold, or route your child’s venture money, and we never message a customer on a minor’s behalf.

You can see the AI conversations

Transcript visibility is age-tiered, and it’s disclosed to your kid: ages 11–15, you see everything; ages 16–17, you see flagged messages plus a weekly summary, with a toggle to full.

No DMs. No faces. No ads.

No direct messages or free-text between kids, no photos or faces anywhere, no advertising, no selling your data, and no AI training on your child’s data.

A hard-coded crisis protocol

If a kid signals real distress, Coach responds with a fixed, human-written protocol (988, Crisis Text Line, Childhelp) and alerts you immediately — never a model-generated answer.

Three pledges

  1. Money flows only through accounts you own. We never process, hold, or route your child’s venture money, and we never contact a customer on your child’s behalf.

  2. No DMs, no faces, no ads, no data sale, and no AI training on your child’s data. Kid pages use a venture name, never your child’s name.

  3. Coach is a scoped coursework tool with a persistent “AI — not a human” label, 60-minute break reminders, and a hard-coded crisis protocol that routes to real help — never a model-written answer.

Who’s behind this

One founder, building in public

Will, the founder of Build Season

I’m Will, and I built Build Season. I’ve got five kids — and I couldn’t find one program that taught them to direct AI and build something real with it, instead of just consuming it. So I built the one I wanted for my own: self-paced, for ages 11 to 17, where a kid ships real projects, makes AI do actual work, and runs a small, parent-supervised venture — with you seeing every step.

I’ll be straight about what this is. I’m one person, and I built it fast using AI to do the heavy lifting — which is exactly the skill I’m teaching your kid. My real name and face are on it, because an anonymous founder running a kids’ AI program should be an automatic no. Any money a kid earns runs through an account you control — never us. I don’t promise your kid will earn a dime; anyone who does is selling you something else. What I promise is real skills and shipped work you can see.

The program’s new, and I’m not hiding that — the trade is a low flat price, a 14-day money-back window, and a written promise that if I ever take it offline, every family with unfinished access is refunded. Questions? hello@buildseason.camp.

Questions parents actually ask

A one-time setup of about 45 minutes (the accounts the money runs through — that’s the safety feature), then a few one-tap co-signs as your kid hits milestones, straight from the recap emails. The “first ask” stretch goes better with a little real presence. No driving, no scheduling, no class times. Full breakdown is in the “Your part as the parent” section above.
